Latest Update on Bali Requirements (March 16 2023 update)

April 3, 2022

🙏🛄 Please make sure that you meet all the Bali entry requirements 🛄🙏

Full Vaccine (no booster required), Insurance, 2 online forms : 1 for tracing & 1 custom declaration.

We kindly advise to print all the documents in case your phone has connection or battery issues.

As of Nov 5 you can buy your VISA On ARRIVAL on the immigration website and avoid having to queue to get it at the Airport, if you hold a Visa from eligible countries.

We would advise doing it : https://molina.imigrasi.go.id/

Russia and Ukraine have recently been excluded from the list, if you traveling with a passport from these countries and other non-VOA countries it does NOT mean that you cannot come, you just need to pre-arrange your visa 2 weeks before travelling. We have recommended visa agents if you need, ask us.

🚨 3 DOCUMENTS THAT YOU MUST BRING WITH YOU AND SHOW AT CHECK-IN:

  • 1 – Passports must have a least a minimum of 6 months validity and 2 blank pages. (Same than before 2020)
  • 2 – Travelers must have a return flight ticket, or a paid outward flight from Bali. (Same than before 2020)
  • 3 – All travellers 18 years and above must show proof (in english) of an authorised COVID-19 🔗 vaccination. The 2nd dose must have been given at least 14 days prior to departure. 1 x COVID-19 full vaccine such as Johnson & Johnson, Sputnik V or Convidecia are accepted. ❗ A COVID-19 recovery certificate NOW counts as vaccination if you have recovery-non transmission letter in english by a doctor AND you agree to do a PCR upon your arrival at Bali airport.
  • 4 – Present a negative COVID-19 PCR test (in english) not older than 48 hours at the time of your international flight.
  • 5 – Show proof (in english) of insurance coverage for COVID-19 of minimum 25 000 USD. You may also purchase this one online : https://www.jagawisata.com/COVID19/. We still recommend getting a travel insurance!
  • 6 – Print all your accommodation (hotels and villas) bookings for all your stay in Indonesia. For your stay with us, your AIRBNB travel itinerary is good as it shows the date and address. I can also send you a one-page confirmation in English and Bahasa Indonesia.

Unvaccinated travellers have to undergo PCR test on arrival and 5 days quarantine in a CHSE hotel.

✈️✈️✈️ STEP BY STEP AT BALI AIRPORT (1 online custom form to fill):

🔹 Upon arrival your temperature will be checked, if it’s higher than 37.5C (normal is 36.5C in skin surface) and/or you present Covid-19 symptoms you will have to take a PCR test, and wait for the results at your booked accommodation.

🔹 Upon arrival at DPS Airport ground staff will help you set-up (passport number, email, etc) PEDULI LINDUNGI APP 🔗 Android / 🔗 Apple that will need to be downloaded on your phone.

📍Don’t worry, if PEDULI LINDUNGI APP is not available in your national app store you will have time to download it at the airport.

🔹 If you have not bought your Visa online (https://molina.imigrasi.go.id/) proceed to the Visa On Arrival counters if your passport is from these 86 countries, unless you have passports from Brunei, Cambodia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand or Vietnam, then you don’t need a Visa.

🔹 While you wait please fill the form online :
https://ecd.beacukai.go.id/
📍 Either print the QR code or keep a screenshot on your phone.

  • VOA-Visa on Arrival costs IDR 500.000 per person (same price for adults and children).
  • VOA-Visa on Arrival is for a single entry into Bali for a stay up to 30 days (and will be valid for all of Indonesia). Payment can be done by: VISA , MasterCard or Cash in IDR. It’s around 35 USD. There’s a 3% extra fee for Credi Card

🔹 Then you’ll clear immigration, get your luggages and go through customs.
For custom make sure you have completed the form online :
https://ecd.beacukai.go.id/
📍 Either print the QR code or keep a screenshot on your phone.

📶 If you plan to use a local Sim Card for data or calls and / or stay longer than 1 month you need to register your phone BEFORE going through customs : https://www.beacukai.go.id/imei (declare a value of less than 500 USD) and show the resulting QR code to a Custom Officer so he can validate your device.

🕛 From experience, the whole procedure takes around 1 hour, and it depends on how many flights landed at the same time.

🕛🕛 If you’re traveling with young children, pregnant women or seniors approach an officer, they will take you to a priority lane.

🕛 🕛 🕛 If it’s busy when you arrive and you don’t want to spend too much time, you will be approached by people offering “‘express / fast track” service, you can negotiate with them a fee around 500 000 IDR (35 USD) in cash to skip the line.s (Vaccine check / Visa on Arrival buying / Immigration). Exercise some amount of caution, only pay after getting your passport back with the entry stamp (check the date) and visa, it’s a gray area but a usually safe one.

⏩⏩⏩⏩ If you want to pre-book an immigration fast track service (only for our guests) please contact our reservation departement for details. [email protected]⏩⏩⏩⏩
